Do you happen to have an incredible selection of Whiskies?
Yes. As a matter of fact Mickey’s is the home of a cultivated list of established and pedigreed whiskeys. We specialize in having the “Antique line” from Buffalo Trace as well as many other hard to get specialities. We have over 75 varieties including selections from all five regions of Scotland. Our well drinks are better quality and cheaper than you’ll generally find elsewhere.
Does Mickey's have a universe of microbrews?
No. We have 2 or three local microbrews. The rest is the standard beers + Drafts (see menu). Microbrew Heaven is next door with our friends at The Hop Stop.
The name is Mickey's, it's an Irish bar, right?
No, no more than Dino’s is an Italian bar. It’s just a name I picked. Besides, all the cool names are already taken by the other bars in east Nashville.
Because this building is rumored to have been a bar since it was built in 1950, I thought I’d name it something like the bars were named back then. Names like, Dino’s or Betty’s.
I like paying $12 -$15 for high-end cocktails. Will your drinks be made of the freshest ingredients bought at the farmers market and lovingly hand squeezed and hand crafted by bartenders with a Phd in mixology?
No. We just just lovingly pluck some of the mixers and fruit from the bountiful shelves of Bill Martin’s or Krogers. Drink prices are middle of the road.
